REVIEW – “More than just a voice recorder!”
There has been a lot of buzz about games in the App Store. So much so that sometimes it is hard to track down the truly useful apps that you can use regularly. 
Well if you have been looking for a voice recorder app that adds some significant functionality to Apple’s default app I would encourage you to take a look at VR+ Voice. This app allows you to not just record audio clips, but also to control their quality and seamlessly send them to various social networking sites!
Once you open VR+ you will see a list where all of your recordings are kept. The first thing you’ll want to do is set up an account with SHAPE Services. To do that you need to touch the settings button in the upper left corner. From there you will see an “Account” tab at the top of the screen 
that will take you to a page where you can create a new account and/or sign in to your existing account.
There are several other things that you can set up in the “Settings” menu as well. There are four different recording qualities that range from 32kbps(very low quality but also very small recording size) all the way up to 192kbps which is comparable to the quality of most digital music today.
Below the recording quality selector there 
are a couple of other options to set. One of them is a feature that is unique to this app which is called “Voice Activity Detection.” This will actually detect and remove “dead space.” This is a great feature for things like recording lectures as it will make them much shorter, and thus easier to go through later.
Another great feature of this app is its ability to send audio files wherever you want. VR+ has the ability to not only send audio files to Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Blogger but it can also sync them directly to your 
computer over a WiFi connection! Setting up each service is as simple as entering your login information once. To view all of your options for sharing audio all you have to do is touch the little blue arrow on the right side. You can also access these options from the pop up menu that comes up after you record new audio.
To kind of sum everything up I’d like to say that if you are on the fence about this app, there is also an ad-supported version of it that has most of the base functionality. The main features that are exclusive to the paid version are the “Voice Activity Dectection,” the audio quality selector, and the ability to sync audio files directly to your computer as MP3 files. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone that needs to record their voice regularly, and its on sale for the holiday 2009 season. So what are waiting for?
