REVIEW – “A fresh face on an old classic!”
I remember growing up when we would visit Grandma’s 
house that one of the favorite games was none other than this classic card game. Uno is a game that is simple enough for anyone to play, easy enough for anyone to win, and yet still unpredictable enough to be fun for hours on end. With this 
app Gameloft has not only managed to capture the original game but also add to it with all kinds of extra game modes, achievements, and even live online play!
Right off the bat this game offers a feature that I really appreciated. 
It allows you to choose whether or not the game will start out with the sound enabled. This makes it simple to continue listening to your music and/or podcasts while you play Uno! The main menu offers three different play modes ranging from a “Quick Play” mode that just starts up a game to a live multiplayer game over the interenet!
The menu’s and sounds in this game definitely add to the experience. This game also is one of the few games to offer a featured called “Gameloft Live.” This is Gameloft’s new online gaming service. With Gameloft Live you 
will be able to find matches online, and also track your progress and statistics in this and other games by GameLoft.
The “Single Player” mode offers two different kinds of play. You can play in “Tournament mode” or in “Custom Mode. Tournament mode will take you through a variety of 
scenarios that you will have to complete within 5 games to win. Custom mode will allow you to set up the game options however you want to play one game.
If you have played Uno before chances are you will really like this game. It offers several different “twists” in the gameplay, and they are explained in depth. On top of great graphics, sound and gameplay the feature that sets this game apart is definitely the live multiplayer. While this games AI is definitely good, it just does not really compare to playing against real people.
For a game that is this polished, and also offers an excellent online gaming backend, I would expect to pay at least $7 or $8. Thankfully, Gameloft has not only developed a real winner, but it has priced it at just $4.99! If you are one of those people that has a lot of “dead” time and you want a game that you can pick up and play for a few minutes with live competition, Check out Uno by Gameloft in the App Store today!
