Unicorn Shots HD – iPad App Review

Its no secret that I really enjoy photo editing Apps. Some are fun, some are pretty, and some are outright wacky. This app definitely falls into the wacky category. Unicorn Shots HD is definitely an App that will appeal to those with a specific kind of sense of humor, if you like funny faces, silly mustaches and googly eyes, then you’ll really like this App.

Unicorn Shots HD is an App specifically designed for the iPad, which means the clip-art and animations included in the App are pretty high-quality. Obviously the iPad doesn’t have a camera, so you’ll have to import some either by emailing yourself or syncing with your photo library on your computer. I used DropBox to move a photo directly from my iPhone to my iPad library. From there you simply start adding the goofy effects.

There is a whole page of Eyes, to choose from, same with eye lids and mouths. The real is when you start adding the Extras. A feature that you might not expect to really give you a hoot is that any time you touch the page, the eyes will automatically stare at where ever you’ve touched. It’s kind of funny to move your finger around the page and watch the googly eyes follow you. This is especially fun if you want to make them look at a specific object.

Of course, once you’re done adding all the crazy hair or fake mustaches you can fit in, you have the option to save, email, or upload your creation to Facebook.

I think this would be a hilarious App to bring with you on vacation, I’m sure that this would give the kids a great distraction on long car rides, or even making a few funny faced photos of your friend as a ‘present’. If you’re like me, and you want to make your photos even more special, and in this case, a lot more fun, go ahead and pick up this App! There’s a free version for the iPhone if you want to try it before you buy it!
