Überclock is pretty awesome. One of the few things that I never assumed I would continually use my iPhone for is as an alarm clock. Every day, without fail. I might not make phone calls with it, but I rest assured (literally) that it will wake me up when I need it to.
If you are missing your bedside table staple of old, you will find a pleasant replacement via ÜberClock. All of the regular features you’d expect in an alarm app are here – digital display or other options, various alarm tones, including the ability to use any one of the songs on your iPhone (or iPod Touch), which is the main reason most people get an Alarm App in the first place, the huge benefit over the built-in Alarm with the iPhone OS.
There are a couple of features that I think are interesting, and wanted to point out specifically. One, of the clock displays available, Binary is one option – and if you can read a Binary clock, you are amazing, and should do so whenever possible.
Two, that there’s an option to automatically dial a number from your contact list at the time that the Alarm goes off, I think that’s a neat feature to have!
Sadly, ÜberClock does have one limitation on needing to be running in order for your alarm to work – which means it’s very wise to keep your iPhone plugged in overnight (who isn’t charging their phones during this time anyways?), but until OS 4.0 comes out, you cannot exit the App if you want your Alarms to still function – since this is already pending being fixed with Multitasking coming soon, it’s not even that big of a concern. Besides, you’d have to keep a regular alarm clock plugged in, too, right?

Overall, if you’re looking for an Alarm Clock App, or even if you’re not but you use your iPhone as an Alarm and want to try one out – I highly reccomend this App. For only a buck, you can’t go wrong!
