Review – “Quick and easy access to the people you contact most!”
One of the big disadvantages of a completely touchscreen phone interface is that you don’t have a keypad to use for a speed-dial feature! While obviously you can assign “favorites” within the iPhone’s phone app, opening that app will not necessarily take you to that page. Touch Dial Pro is an app that is designed to give you an extremely easy way to call/sms the people that you contact the most!
The load time for Touch Dial is extremely fast. The first thing that you’ll want to do when you get it downloaded is start setting your contacts! Setting a contact’s information is as easy as touching the small
pencil icon to the left of the entry you want to change, and then filling in the information! If the number that you want to add is in your iPhone’s address book you can also touch the “Import Contact” button to download it directly into the app!
At the bottom of the add contact screen are two little “selector buttons.” The first one allows you to choose what number will be used to contact the person that you have chosen. the second one allows you to set Whether the app will automatically call them or take you to the messages app to send them a text!
You can add up to 12 different contacts/numbers to add to this app. They 
are seperated into four different screens, which you can access by touching the buttons in the memory at the bottom of the screen. The different screens are distinguished both by color and by the icons representing them at the bottom of the screen!
Once you have everything that you want set up, all you have to do to call/SMS a contact is slide that contacts little bar to the right. I tried using a variety of different numbers, both for phone calls and texting. Sometimes an app like this will try to add some more advanced features that end up causing more problems than they fix. That is not the case with Touch Dial Pro! I had no problems whatsoever with lag or
crashing with this app. It’s just simple and right to the point!
The only real complaint I had about this app has to do with the “Import Contact” feature. It gets all of the basic information, but if you have more than one number in your iPhone contact list for a person there is no way to tell which number is which within this app. Since this is a kind of app that you set once and don’t mess with it a while though this is definitely not a dealbreaker!
So to sum all of this up, this app simple and it does what it says. If what you’re looking for is some kind of advanced contact management system, then this app is most likely not for you. With that said, at just $0.99 I think that most people would definitely be getting their money’s worth out of Touch Dial Pro!
