TimeLoop (Free)
Version 0.0.3
REVIEW – “Spend time being in two places at once with this unique puzzle game.”
There are a number of different puzzle games for the iPhone but this the first puzzle where the trick is not having enough hands but knowing how to use the extra hands correctly. In TimeLoop you are Nik, a mere janitor droid, but when a time machine experiment goes horribly wrong, it is up to you to save the day.
The scientists in the lab where Nik works have been working on a time machine, but when they test the machine everything goes wrong. All of the scientists (and the poor lab cats) are now trapped in time and quickly running out of oxygen.
In order to save the scientists you must fix doors and problems within mere seconds in order to save the scientists (and the cats!) before they run out of oxygen. But you will quickly find that sometimes doors will only open if they are being worked on, and since you cannot be in two places at once, that is where the TimeLoop comes in.
When you activate the TimeLoop time restarts with your past self repeating the actions you did before activating the TimeLoop (i.e. if you were working on the door when you activated the TimeLoop, your past self will work on the door.) This allows you to be in two places at once so that you can move through the doorways and save everyone in time.
But that is only the beginning as soon you will have to get your past self and your future self working in the correct sequence in order to pass through all the doors and save everyone before they run out of oxygen.
The levels start out relatively easy but even so I was not able to get higher than Bronze on the levels even after trying them a few times, so there is definitely enough challenge to this game for kids and adults alike.
The graphics are very cartoonish which brings a sense of fun to this rather intense puzzle game. The idea is very unique and quite fun which means that it is a game that will have a permanent place on my already cluttered iPhone.
Better yet, this game is on sale for this weekend only, so grab the full version of this game today before it goes back to the price of $.99. This game is really a lot of fun and it does get pretty hard, especially if you want to get those top scores.
