Are you ready? that’s the name of the game with this very addictive game by Dean Frampton. Released for a little over a week, I suspect that this game will be in the Top 25 in the weeks to come. It is fun, challenging and like I previously said, addictive.
Ready Steady Go! allows you to start out with a tutorial to show you exactly how the game is played. The objective is to get the ring from one end of the path to the other without letting the sides touch – similar to the game operation where you can’t touch the sides… It’s starts off easy but the pathway from start to finish gets more difficult as you go. As the pathway turns, you must run your finger from top to bottom (or vice versa) on the right side of the screen, this will rotate the ring so that the sides don’t touch.
From what I can tell (because I have only made it to level 5 on easy), there are 10 levels of, tongue-biting, absolute concentration modes – and that’s on easy. You have three modes of play: easy, hard and insane – so actually, that is 30 different levels. And in addition to these which is in the “Normal” playing mode, there is a “Time Attack” mode that gives you a certain amount to finish each level, if you finish within that time, an extra 10 seconds is added onto the next level as they get increasingly difficult. Fortunately, the levels are the same as in the easy mode, so if you play through the normal mode first, the time attack is somewhat familiar.
For a limited time, this game is selling for only 99 cents – quite a steal, if you ask me. With 30 different levels of play and different modes of play, this game is sure to keep you entertained. The puzzles seem like they would be so easy to beat, but you quickly find out as soon as you hear that buzzer, the edges of the ring are harder to keep away from the path than you may think. It is a game of concentration, skill and it’s highly addictive nature keeps you coming back to beat those levels. Download this app now but make sure you are ready, steady to go!
