Postabon is the newest addition in a long line of apps that work to make shopping easier and more affordable but it also extends to just about anything else you can spend money on. This makes a great all around app, but currently it is mainly focused on New York so until more users start stepping up, it might not be useful for many of you. 
Now I like any app that can make it easier for me to see what’s good to eat while at the same time telling me how I can save money to eat it. The whole purpose of Postabon is to have users post good deals, sales, specials, or just good prices of anything in the area. So next time you are looking for a good happy hour you can check Postabon and see who is having happy hour at that moment and what other users are saying about it. This goes for sales at stores or shows or restaurants.
But all this good fun does have a downside and that is that it is completely run by user submissions. That means that until it becomes more popular the majority of us are out of the loop. But if you are willing to sign up for an account with Postabon you can start sharing your own bargains and entice your friends to do the same.
This app did go through beta testing so if you live in the New York city area (or just want to key the city in to check out the app at its full capacity) you are in luck, because there are hundreds of bons for you to check out and enjoy.
Overall I think that once this app starts becoming more popular and users become more involved it could become quite interesting and useful. I like the idea of it because usually it is the lucky few who catch things at the right time that know when the good sales or the good happy hours are going on.
I think that even though it may not provide you with much new information right now you might want to grab it and help to not only spread the word but get new bargains posted so that we all can start enjoying this app a little more.

Think of one-day Holiday sales, a delivery of brand name jeans at a local discount store, stores that are willing to negotiate on price, or a happy hour or dinning special in your neighborhood. If you like saving money at local stores, Postabon is for you!
Our content is generated by like-minded users who post deal recommendations based on their shopping experience in your area. Users can upload ideas through our website or iPhone application. Deal finders earn Karma points for every deal they post, and can vie for the top spots on our Karma Board and accrue a following of users interested in the recommendations they make.
By focusing on recommendations from real people, we’re able to find lots of user-tested, relevant ideas for you nearby!
With Postabon you can:
* Find deals around you using the iPhone’s built in location finder
* Search for deals based on keyword, category, proximity, address or store name
* Post a great deal you’ve found to notify other Postabon users in real time
* Manage your account, follow other like-minded shoppers and check your Karma score
Postabon will never send you a text message or push notification. To find a great deal, open the app and search for what you’re looking for.
Note: New York Focus
Postabon’s initial content is focused on the New York City area. As of 11/24, our beta testers created 600 recommendations in New York, and 50 in Chicago, Boston and San Francisco.
