MyPlaylists (.99)
Version 1.0
REVIEW – “All of your music in the order that you want it.”
Fortunately for iPhone users (and probably the reason why there are so many), Apple knows how to make incredible products that keep us coming back for more. Take the AppStore, for example. Although Apple does not make and develop all of the apps, they came up with and implemented the AppStore which allows third party companies to develop high-quality (and sometimes not so high-quality) products that are to be used in conjunction with the iPhone or iTouch. This is especially convenient when a particular function of it doesn’t do all that you would like.
Although the iPod function on the iPhone and iTouch is an app where your music can be stored and replayed with or without headphones, MyPlaylists is a third party application that can be downloaded for only $2.99 and goes above and beyond the traditional iPod app that comes with the phone. Please make sure you know that I am not dissing the iPhone app, I am merely commenting on the genius of MyPlaylists to see where the iPod app lacked and they made up for it.
MyPlaylists is a user-friendly app that allows you to create as many (or as few) playlists as you would like. Because the iPod app does not allow for playlists to be created after the music has been added to your phone/touch, MyPlaylists conveniently takes the headache out of reconnecting to a computer to add a playlist. As long as the music is already on your device, this app allows you to create playlists by easily searching through your music by song, artist, album, etc.
I have found that this app saves a lot of time and headaches by easily searching your music library and creating playlists in just a few simple clicks. Click to add, click to name your playlist and click to add your songs – it really is that simple. Within the paid version, I have yet to reach a max number of playlists allowed but have enjoyed every minute of the playlists that I have created.
The one thing to note is that the playlists are actually played through the MyPlaylists app, not the iPod app. However, other than that, everything else is the same – you have album artwork, play controls and all of your music, conveniently organized. For those of you who listen to a lot of music on your iPhone or iTouch, I highly recommend this app. We have all been in situations where we didn’t have access to a computer at a particular time but it sure would have been nice if we did because we could create a mellow playlist to block out all the noise or perhaps an upbeat playlist for that spontaneous jog that you decide on… whatever the reason, this app is worth downloading. All of your music in one place and in the order that you want it.
