As fun, cool and exciting as an iPhone or iTouch can be, despite the games and social networking apps, the music and text messaging, these portable devices are so 
much more! They are a way to stay on top of your business, hours of entertainment, and more recently, as I am discovering, an invaluable learning and training tool. Match-Up Math, the educational iPhone App made especially for kids, is the new alternative to those timed 
math sheets we used to have in grade school.
In a perfect world… in my world, every child in every classroom would have access to their very own iTouch, pre-loaded with all of the educational apps, books, references and resources that were ever needed. And why not? iPhones aren’t just for calling anymore. They don’t cost $600 and they certainly shouldn’t be regarded as a gaming device. Although the iPhone and iTouch does all of these things, at the same time, it helps with science homework, provides an encyclopedia or thesaurus and gives children the option to learn, in a fun way, at any given time.
We all know that riding with a child isn’t very fun. They get bored, tired, cranky, they want to fight with their siblings… a long car ride can be a big, fat waste of time. But stick an iTouch loaded with learning apps and games, you have a smart, entertained child that will only become a more educated person by that long car ride learning.
Match-Up Math is a great tool that is aimed at children learning their basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions. The Game Settings of this app allows you to start off basic and at one of three difficulty levels. This game allows you to advance through the challenges at your pace and on your terms.
The brightly colorful backgrounds and fun, kid-like themes are a great enhancement and give the player a more relaxed and eased feeling while playing the game. Improve your math skills as you match tiles in this fun and addicting game!
Pair tiles that equal the same numerical amount to clear the board; as your mastery improves you can try to get to a higher level and beat your previous score. Each game level has a new tile layout, so in addition to mastering the math, you’ll use logic and strategy to solve the puzzles.

This game is so fun, I don’t have kids yet but I will certainly get match up math for them when I do! For now I can use it to keep the brain sharp and to
play with the young ones in my family! An excellent program.
