Review – “Help your body lose weight!”
There are lots of things programs have asked of you to do to lose weight in the past. Obviously watching what you eat and getting some exercise are always good places to start. If, like most people, you find it difficult to find time to work out every day then you might want to check out the Lazy Diet app by Bliss Software!
When I opened up this app for the first time I was a little lost. I honestly think I just expected that there would be more interface
to the app. The first thing you’ll want to do is go set your information by touching the settings button in the bottom left corner of the main screen. Basically what you’ll need to enter is your gender, height and weight information. You can also set a passcode for this app if you don’t want anyone messing up your timer.
Once you get all of your information entered you’ll notice that this app will also calculate your BMI (Body Mass
Index). This is supposed to be an indicator of how healthy you are. I will put a little disclaimer in here, this index is not going to be accurate for a lot of people because it’s just impossible to set a number on what weight should go with what height for everyone. for example, even when I was in college playing basketball on the school team, my playing weight was about 215 lbs. According to the BMI index this is considered “Overweight” for someone that is 6’5″ and that was when I was probably in the best shape of my life.
After you set everything up to get started you’ll want to touch the “set time” button on the right side of the screen towards the top. This will allow you to set an interval of 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Once you get your interval all you have to do is pop in your headphones and touch the play button at the bottom of the screen. That’s it! Just sit back and listen as you help your body naturally release more human growth hormone which will help you generate muscle, and therefore burn fat!
Something that I really appreciated about this app is the iPod integration. It would get old pretty fast just listening to the wave sounds by themselves, but you can select playlists or individual songs from your iPod library and listen to them while this app is working! To select your playlist just touch the button in the upper right corner of the screen.
The playlist screen is simple. It shows your current progress and timer settings at the top of the screen, and a list of all the songs that you’ve added to your current playlist. Adding more songs to your list is simple. Just touch the “+” button in the upper right corner
of the screen and select all of the songs/playlists that you want to include. Your music will start/stop playing along with the wave sounds when you press play.
I’ll have to admit that I’m a little skeptical as to whether this will actually help you to lose weight. With that said, the developers of this app are up front in letting you know that weight loss is not likely to be achieved without at least some kind of diet control and/or exercise. With that said, this may be the easiest way I’ve ever seen to help make your diet/exercise more effective! Best of all it’s extremely cheap at just $1.99.
