Sure, sometimes the weird text in Facebook Status Updates, or Tweets can be a bit distracting, but there’s no denying that it can be fun and cute. This is App combines the fun of different Emoji, Text Styles, WingDings and Japanese-Style Emoticons ( like these: (^.^)/ apparently called Kaoiro) in practically any application or website.
The built-in login feature to Facebook means you can update your status messages, and the same is available for twitter, or sending an email. An excellent feature of this App is that it has a built-in browser to post your messages anywhere, but if you prefer Safari, you can copy to your iPhone’s Clipboard to use there, or any other App! I tried to send a Kaomoji message via text message with slight success: some of the styles work for the most part, but the icon/wingdings don’t. See example:
However I was sending to a non-iPhone so you may have more success iPhone-iPhone texting.
For my test run, I tried to use as many different options as possible, a couple text styles, a couple emoji – and it worked, mostly. Keep in mind that whomever us reading this text will need to have the proper character sets installed on their own computers in order to see what it is that you’ve typed. My test is a good example of what happens when you don’t have the right character sets/most recent version of the browser that they’re using installed. Also the emoticon/emoji the graphic icons, apparently don’t show up on Facebook, at all…
Another feature that I found interesting, and helpful is that this App logs every message you’ve sent to email, Facebook or twitter within the App, so you can quickly check on the messages you’ve sent, like a history built-in. Very smart.
The amount of actual content in this App is surprising, especially for the $0.99 price range. There are 12 Text Styles, a Kaoiri builder in addition to presets (so you can make your own d(OvO)b faces without having to slave away at the regular keyboard – plus it has preset special characters), there are a lot of wingding-style icons and a boatload of Emoji. Think about being able to mix all of those together – the possibilities are nearly endless!
On last thing that is absolutely worth mentioning. This App has a built-in Manual and a surprisingly easy and customizable Settings page. I think that this helps to set apart this App from the dozens of other Emoji Apps.
All in all, if you’re looking for an Emoji App, you won’t go wrong with this one, it’s got everything you’re probably looking for and much much more, now you express your unique style and create and post Fun Text anywhere!
