REVIEW – “Test your accuracy with this fun diversion!”
I’ll have to admit that I probably enjoy this game a little too much. It’s true that shortly after downloading this app I frequently would play it in the bathroom, while waiting for my wife to get off 
work, and even in the morning before I left for work! iQuarterback is a game developed by a group of programmers that left Microsoft to start up FuzzyCube Software. It is basically a game that tests your accuracy as you try to hit moving targets with a football.
One of the first things I noticed when I opened this game is that it does not turn off your music/podcasts if you start it up listening to something. That is something that I very much appreciate because I spend a lot of time listening to various recordings. The graphics in this game are not extremely flashy, but they are definitely more than adequate. While it might have been nice to see a little 
more “flair,” one thing I did notice is that this app performs well on older devices such as the iPhone 3G as well as the 3GS and the new iPod Touch.
When you open up this app you will be taken through a couple of “splash” screens and then directly to the main menu. There are two options for play, “Practice” and “Compete.” The only difference between these two modes is whether or not your statistics are tracked. If you are someone that likes to compete on a global scale this is a great feature because it allows you to let your friends play it without ruining your stats!
Once you select whether to track your stats you get to choose from two different play modes. The 
original iQuarterback just had one mode which consisted of 1 random target at a time moving across the screen for you to throw at. This mode is called “Accuracy” in the new 2.0 update. The second mode is called “Shoot Out” and is similar to what you see in the NFL’s “Quarterback Challenge” on TV. You have multiple targets to hit, as well as a few “defender” targets that randomly move in front of the “receiver” targets.
Another thing that was added to this version is the “OpenFient” social network. What this means is that not only are your stats tracked but you can also compete directly with friends! There are also lots of 
achievements to get and a variety of other options ranging from chatting with friends and other iQuarterback users, as well as live Facebook and Twitter integration if you so choose!
The game control is extremely simple to learn, and yet takes a lot of practice to master. As you play you will earn points 
for every throw that hits the target and you will get bonus points at the end of each round based on how many targets you hit and also how many bulls’ eyes you get.
While there are lots of games that are more complex out there, with more “bells and whistles,” if you just want a game that you can pick up and enjoy for a few minutes whenever you want, iQuarterback hits the spot. I have probably spent as much or more time playing this app as I have any other app, and that is saying a lot because I have downloaded literally hundreds of games! And with that said, the price is right as well at just $0.99… so what are you waiting for? Download iQuarterback today!
