REVIEW – “Sketch your ideas”
Whiteboard is a free app for your iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to use the device as a virtual sketchpad, so that you can draw anything you want quickly with your fingers- either a rough image, a graphic or even a game of tic-tac-toe. It all depends on what you need to do.
Using the devices’ Wi-fi functionality, Whiteboard shows its true nature when two devices come in proximity with each other, tethering the handhelds together the app makes a collaborative sketchpad on which users can draw on the same surface.
The application works really well, with no lag at all, even if the two users are standing in opposite corners of the same room, which is something that can’t be wrong.
Of course, you can see the immediate applications of this app. The first one that went through my mind was that it’s a really nice thing for kids to use, making drawings together and learning how to work in pairs. Then again, you can also use the app with your colleagues for a quick game of tic-tac-toe or sketching a quick graph while in a meeting.
Whiteboard is surely one of those apps that look really simple at first, but after a while, you start seeing all the possibilities it offers.
