Wow. I though eReader had it together, but if you can’t get a Kindle, Stanza is the next best thing.
Stanza gives you your very own library, and within it you can search for books by title, author, and subject. Stanza even keeps track of your latest reads for future reference. You can also download books directly to your library from the internet or share book with other Stanza users.
Stanza also has an interface that is easier to navigate. There’s more space between icons which make selection easier and it is also easier to understand what each icon represents. For example, the yin yang at the bottom of the screen changes the screen from white with black text to black with white text, which I find pretty self-explanatory.
The navigation bar at the bottom allows the reader to see page-by-page and chapter-by-chapter how far they are moving in the books. It’s easier to find your point of reference if you get lost. You can even see the exact percentage of the book you have completed. Looking for a specific passage and can only remember a few words? Just click on the magnifying glass and you can search your word throughout the whole book. Then the results are highlighted and separated by chapter so that they are easier to find for you. Then simply select correct result and you will instantly be taken to that page of reference.
Still, that’s not all Stanza has to offer. You can change the personal settings of how the app functions technically i.e. book rotation (vertical or horizontal). You can also change font size so that it is smaller or bigger and there’s even a trusty dictionary to use for those words that users may not know the meaning of. Stanza is a great app that has a lot of books, oldies but goodies and more mainstream books like “Twilight”. I definitely recommend downloading this app.
