REVIEW – “Making Hearts Beat on iPhones All Over The World!”
The Speed Date app is meant to connect singles together and allow users to view photos of singles of different backgrounds and interests all over the world. When I downloaded this app, it finished quickly and immediately started searching for updates the first time I opened it. I was then led to a screen where I could register for a SpeedDate account. Then, I was told to upload either an existing photo or take a new one. Once I chose a photo, it was loaded very quickly and I was able to start viewing singles immediately. I had the option to either “Wink” at singles or send them a free message. There was a slight lag in viewing profiles, but it was fun and entertaining viewing each single’s profile.
At the bottom of the screen was an Inbox button, an option to see singles whom had viewed my profile, as well as edit my profile. Overall, the interface was nice but needed a little work to make it more visually pleasing. There was a bit of a lag when loading each page, so hopefully in future versions they can make this app more stable. When sending a message to other users, I found that I could only send pre-made messages, which was a bit disappointing. The “Viewed You” feature was also a bit disappointing because I was redirected to the web browser and was told I eventually had to pay after a week of using this feature. Hopefully in future versions they can add a “Chat” to this app, which would make it a bit more entertaining.
This app was a typical dating site that had a user-friendly interface and the ability to connect with users all over the world.
