Version 1.2.34
REVIEW – “This is one app that needs to be on your shopping list!”
Grocery shopping is rarely anyone’s idea of fun but this app makes things simple and very easy to handle. It is always nice to have an interactive shopping list at hand in order to ensure that you get everything you need, but this app does so much more.

This app allows me to not only build a shopping list but it organizes it as well, which ensures that I don’t come back to the produce section five times because everything was spread out throughout my list. It allows me to input my own items, add prices and coupons and even separate lists between stores.
When you open the app you are given a screen much like this one but without the list. To start your list click the plus sign and do a search or simply write it whatever you need. Once it is added to your list you can choose a quantity, record a price or even state whether or not you have coupon. This is great for comparison shopping.
But the app does even more as you can create lists for different stores. So you can have a list of stores you go to say Publix, Target and Costco. Then you mark down which aisles are available at these stores. You can even record where the store is and the app will recognize when you arrive at that store and will bring up the appropriate list.

But for me the greatest aspect of this app is not only that it is a great device for me to go shopping but also a great device for my husband. If there is ever something I need him to pick up from the store on his way home from work, I can easily email the shopping list to him right from my app. He will then be notified that he has a shopping list available and will be able to pull up my list in his own app and pick up exactly what I need. No there is no room for excuses when he picks up Whipping Cream instead of Whipped Cream.
Once you have clicked an item on the list it instantly goes into your cart. (The icon on the bottom left of the screen). It will show how many items you have in your cart and once you finish the list it will ask if you are ready to check out. After that you can choose to delete the list if it was a one time thing or save it as a list to repeat every week.

This app is remarkably simple and easy to use but it has those extra features that really give it a wow factor. Some of the new features include being able to upload pictures to the shopping list (so he knows the difference between lettuce and cabbage) as well as nutritional ratings for many of the items. You’ll see that some of the built in items have stars next to them. The more stars, the healthier the item is and something that you should include in your shopping list.
In the future this app promises a bar code scanner to make shopping and budgeting that much easier!

I would like to be able to re-arrange the items in each aisle. Otherwise great app.

I can’t recommend anyone buy this app.
When it first came out, it was 4.99, it now sells for .99, but is still a paid app and anyone who bought it prior to the latest version, no matter what they paid, had bought an ad free app.
With the latest upgrade though, the company has inserted ads into the app and is charging 1.99 a year to get rid of the ads on top of whatever you paid for the app in the first place.
To charge people for an app and then tell them they need to pay again yearly to get rid of ads is bad enough. To insert ads into a paid app that has been ad free since its inception is plain bad business and makes them a company I wouldn’t trust at all.
I would recommend you send them a message and take your business to a more reputable company.
I disagree with the last post. Maybe because I was not around at the beginning, I only paid $.99 for the app, but the ads are not a big problem. They really aren’t intrusive.
I believe the ads also came around the same time as list syncing. This makes sense as there must be some kind of servers running that, and servers cost money. I will take the extra features with a few ads, and if you don’t want them, you shouldn’t upgrade.
If you look in the forums, the ‘opt-out’ was requested by users.
