REVIEW – “Search over 2 million jobs with this powerful app…”
With our nation having an unemployment rate of over 9.7%, everyone knows someone or could use an app that allows them to search over 2 million jobs on-the-go. Whether you are unhappy with your current job, simply looking for a new job, or helping another find a career, this app is for you! Backed by Careerbuilder.com, this app is considered the US’s largest job site. Upon opening this app, I was greeted with an orange interface, the standard Careerbuilder.com colors. Almost immediately I was able to find an extensive list of all the jobs in my area. While searching for jobs, I could enter in any keywords I wanted as well as the location where I wanted to work. I could also use the location services feature of the iPhone in order to find available jobs near me.
Although the app took a bit of time to find available jobs, I was impressed with the large amount of jobs that were available in my area. If I found a job that suited my interests, I simply clicked on it to view more information. I could view the job on a map, as well as find out the base pay, industry of the job, required education, description, requirements, and the ability to e-mail the job to myself or add it to a favorites list. I was a bit disappointed that I could apply for a job straight from the application, so hopefully they can add that feature to future versions.
I found it easy to add a job to my favorites list and was also impressed that once I compiled a list of these favorites, I could e-mail the entire list to myself. All in all, I feel that Careerbuilder.com developed a great app that keeps the job search simple and user-friendly. I recommend this app for anyone who wants to find a job or knows someone who does.
