There have been a number of different apps that have been created to work with Flickr, so many so that Flickr has come out with its own app. But though this is the first app created by the site itself and it is free, there are a few things that I wish it would have to make the app more useable.
If you do not have a flickr account this app will be little more than photo viewing for you and that is perhaps one of the biggest shortcomings. The search controls are very limited considering the large amount of photos on the site, having something a little more precise would have been nice. The search controls are pivotal on the site and they are sorely lacking here.
Once you log into your account you can then have access to your own photos to view and your own contacts in order to see them as well. You can also take photos either from the iphone camera or from your photo album and put them up onto the site. When you are uploading you can choose a location for your picture so that it is put into the right album in your flickr account. 
But you cannot create any new categories or do any sort of uploading outside of the initial uploading. So if pictures are already on flickr then you cannot reorganize them in anyway.
You can however make comments on photos so that feature remains easy to use, which is good because it is perhaps one of the most important features.
I could also not see a way to access any flickr videos which was another disappointment.
Overall it is a great app but I feel like it could have a little more to offer.
