As a journalism major, I was thrilled, perhaps ecstatic is a better word, for how I felt when I came across this app. Exactly is literally like having a newsstand in the palm of your hand. It is amazing. I can’t put it down!
Exactly is easy to use and exciting! Users have access to a variety of free publications and can even choose to take a subscription with exacteditions.com to receive and read the latest issues on the very day they hit media outlets. Joy is not the right word to articulate how I feel when using this application.
Exactly gives users access to the phone numbers displayed on different media websites, live links to web content can be seen from your iPod or iPhone as well. You can even read the table of contents and select exactly where you would like to begin in the text. It really is like having a text version in your hands. However, I must admit to loving the smell of a new newspaper or magazine, but Exactly is more portable and longer lasting so I have no real complaints.
The interface is also easy to navigate as it looks a lot like the jukebox feature of iTunes. Stroke left or right to turn pages, double tap the screen to zoom…I could go on, but I am sure you get the picture. Exactly is easy! I’ll also say, that as a journalist, in an industry that is continually pooling resources and charging more and more for content, Exactly is definitely a friend to my pocketbook. I cannot thank it enough.
If you are anything like me and are looking for a cheaper and more convenient way to get your news anywhere, anytime, Exactly was designed specifically for you, exactly for you and me.
