REVIEW – “A tea lovers paradise!”
My wife nearly freaked out when she saw this app, and I thought I was never going to get my phone back to complete this review. This is an app that tea lovers of all shapes and sizes will want to have! Konstantin Gonikman has done an excellent job of researching, and presenting information about all kinds of different teas. Not just how to make them, but also where they originated.
After the brief splash screen at start up, you are taken directly to the “Teas” page where you can search for a specific tea, select a tea from the categorized list, or switch to your “Favorites” list using the toggle button at the top of the screen. Selecting any of the teas you find will take you to a page where you will see a brief description of that tea, how long and at what temperature the tea is made the best, where the tea has originated, and a list of other teas that have originated from the same region.
At the bottom of the screen, there are a couple other menu options as well. The first is the “Regions” screen where you will see a list of all the regions that the teas found in this app are from. The second is the “Guide” page. This page will be extremely helpful to those that are not as familiar with various “terminology” and techniques for make the best tea possible.
The information in this app is top notch, and while the price may be a little steep at $3.99, this is a must have app for anyone that truly loves exotic teas. The app promises to continue to add more teas to the over 50 that are already included in this version as well, so get it while it is $3.99 because it may not stay at this price point forever!
