Alice in Wonderland (Free)
REVIEW—”Who knew a rabbit hole could be so happenin’?!”
As a college student, I find that my peers often like to reflect on the days when life was not nearly as stressful as it can be these days. That leaves us often talking about the pop culture of our younger years, and every time movies come up, I’m the odd man out. I mean, I haven’t even seen the Disney Classics like Cinderella, and the same holds true for Alice in Wonderland. And even in my 20s, I found it quite enjoyable. Who knew falling down a rabbit hole could be so life changing, eh.
In a fantasy world, based strongly on the personal friends of the author Lewis Carroll, Alice must navigate her way through this wondrous world of fantasy and find her way home. To my knowledge Alice in Wonderland is regarded as one of the books that most influenced the fantasy and science fiction genre.
Just like other books in the BeamItDown collection, the iFlow feature allows this app to be as hand free as possible. Readers do not have to constantly run their fingers up and down the screen in order to navigate their way through the book. They can simply tap the top of the screen to go up a page or tap the bottom of the screen to go down to the next page. However, the most amazing feature is literally the flow. If you tilt your iPod or iPhone away from you, the text will ascend upward and the book flows in a steady stream so you don’t have to navigate. You can even make the flow slower or faster which is great for the fast and slow reader alike. You can also change font type, size, and color as well as the lightness and darkness of the screen and background paper color. You can also opt to turn off the tilted screen text flow if you prefer.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a great book and I’m glad that I haven’t seen the movie. It has been my experience that the movie is never as good as the book, and as a lover of text, I’d say Alice in Wonderland must hold true to that.

DEVELOPER’S NOTES
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll tells the story of a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit-hole into a world populated by peculiar and fantastic creatures. It is one of the most widely read stores of all time and around the globe. You can find this and other great works of literature in our 100+ Great Books collection.
The BeamItDown Books use a very different approach to reading that is absolutely ideal for the screen of the iPhone and iPod Touch. Other reader applications display the text of the book you are reading in individual pages. The number of words that can be displayed on the screen at one time is determined by the size of the font used. This forces you to choose between reading with a very small font size or using a large font and changing pages every few seconds. The problem is that reading with a very small font induces eyestrain, while frequent paging disrupts concentration.
The BeamItDown iFlow Reader solves this problem by using an entirely new approach to reading. Instead of paging, the BeamItDown iFlow Reader scrolls text much like a teleprompter. Large, easy to read text scrolls by smoothly as you read. The precise scrolling speed is controlled by subtly tilting the device, which quickly becomes very intuitive and natural. You can personalize your reading experience by selecting the paper color, text color, text size, and the font that you prefer to create a truly enjoyable reading experience
