I originally played this game a year or two ago on Facebook and was instantly hooked. Word Scramble is a game developed by Zynga where you are challenged to find as many words in a block of letters as possible within a certain time frame. You are allowed to use letters next to each other in any direction, as long as you don’t use any letter twice for the same word.
I was a little skeptical as I was downloading this app as to how this app could really match the computer version, but I was pleasantly surprised. Zynga obviously put a lot of work into the development of this app! When you open this app you are taken to the menu where you can play by yourself, play online with others, play and “pass” or challenge someone else on Facebook!
The menu shows you the best scores from your friends at the bottom of the screen, as well as information about how many people are playing, and the longest words found recently. Once you select a game mode, game play is very simple. All you have to do is drag your finger over the letters of the word you want to spell. The game will either let you know that you scored with that word, that it has already been used, or that it is not in the dictionary. The goal of this game is to get as many words as quickly as you can. You also get a lot more points for finding longer words!
This game used to cost $0.99 and it was popular at that price. With it now being a free, I would highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys puzzle apps. This game is easy to use, and is easy to jump in and out of. I will warn you though; that this game is highly addicting and you may find yourself playing it more often than you should!
