REVIEW – “White Pages Mobile is a must”

Never get stuck without a phone number again. WhitePages Mobile brings the WhitePages website to your iPhone or iPod Touch. Search for people and find addresses, phone numbers and directions to their house.

To complete a search with WhitePages Mobile you will need at least two letters of their last name and a zip code. Once your results appear you can see their phone number, address, other members of the household and interestingly enough, ages for some of the people. Your iPhone or iPod Touch will gladly help you with directions to their house using the standard mapping program. Or you can choose to import the entry directly into your contacts. The people you are searching for must be listed or you won’t have any results.

WhitePages Mobile is also a business search. By name or by category, your search results will allow you to get directions or enter the business in your contacts, just like with the people search.

My favorite feature of this app is the reverse lookup. Reverse lookup lets you enter in a phone number and, provided the number is listed, WhitePages will give you the address and name of who has that number. If the number happens to be a cell phone the results are a little more difficult. WhitePages Mobile app will tell you it a cell phone, roughly where the number is located and the carrier. But for those mystery numbers that call your phone this is a great way to see who it was without having to call and ask “did someone call my phone?”

Recent results are saved, and individual entries can be deleted. Everything is easy to navigate and the screens are clear and easy to read. This is the type of app that everyone needs on their iPhone or iPod Touch.
