REVIEW – “A fun, futuristic comic that follows Super Car and Flyer!”
Super Car 2 is an app for children, comic lovers, and fans of the original Super Car 1. This comic follows two futuristic best friends, Super Car and Flyer. Locating this in the App store was easy and the app itself downloaded promptly. When I first opened this app, I was greeted with the cutest cartoon title screen with Super Car as its focus. The graphics for this comic are very childlike and fun to look at. As for the ease of use for this app, the controls were intuitive and so simple a child could use it–simply swipe the screen to turn the page.
As a fan of the original Super Car 1, I did have my gripes that there were no features that allowed to me to bookmark or save my place, as well as a table of contents to see the amount of pages. Super Car 2 still did not have a feature that allowed me to save my place or view a table of contents. Although it wasn’t extremely necessary to have these features, it would have been an added bonus to make the reading experience a bit better.
The storyline for this comic was easy to follow and was entertaining even to me, so I can only imagine how great of a read this would be for children. There was not much text to read which is a great feature for children who are learning to read. Overall, this app was user-friendly and great for parents who want to keep their children entertained or comic lovers who are interested in an entertaining comic adventure. The design of this app was professional and the controls couldn’t be any simpler.

Super Car and Flyer comics star two vehicles from the planet Revolution. Super Car is the most powerful vehicle ever built, but he often acts before he thinks. His best friend Flyer the airplane, however, always has an idea to save the day when Super Car gets into trouble.
In Super Car 2, “A Trip for Several Lifetimes”, Flyer learns of a long lost gem that gives the holder unlimited power. Realizing the danger of such a gem, Flyer and Super Car set off to destroy it. However someone else intends to capture the gem and use it for nefarious purposes. Can Super Car and Flyer reach the gem first?

Super Car and Flyer comics do have a feature to save your place… when you reload the app, it should ask you whether you want to continue reading or start over. If that’s not working, please e-mail me so I can figure out why. I am planning on adding a table of contents feature to all my comic apps in the future. (I’m thinking it’ll be a slider that appears when you single tap the screen, enabling the user to quickly move between panels.)
Super Car 0 has been submitted and approved, so it should be on the App Store any day now. I’m currently working on Super Car 4 and planning Super Car 5, so look for those eventually too.
