REVIEW – “A new angle on street racing!”
If you are one of those Facebook addicts that likes games similar to Mob Wars, where there is constant action going on even when you’re not logged on, you might enjoy Street Racers for iPhone and iPod Touch! PlayMesh has come up with a game that is in line with games released by Storm8, in fact I honestly thought that it was a Storm8 game at first glance.
When you first start up Street Racers, you are taken through a tutorial where you set up your account and learn the basics of how everything works. The depth of options and customization in this game is impressive if you are used to MMORPG’s offered by Storm 8, as are the graphics.
Another nice feature that PlayMesh has added is the ability to view everything in landscape mode, as well as in standard portrait mode. While the landscape mode looks very sharp, I actually prefer the portrait view as it offers descriptions of what each of the locations you can go to instead of just having buttons.
I was impressed, as I tested this app, with the overall feel of the game. The graphics and game play just seem much more professional than most MMORPG’s I have played on my iPhone. The end result of this is an overall experience that you don’t usually get on a mobile platform.
The great thing about this game is that while it can be time consuming, it is on a mobile platform and so you have constant access to it. If you are really into MMORPG’s and would like to see a little more depth than the “status quo,” I would highly recommend Street Racers by PlayMesh!
