REVIEW – “Don’t limit yourself with radio or TV, get the most comprehensive news with this app”
The Stitcher Radio app is a comprehensive source for users to attain all their news from different outlets and “stitch” together their favorite news, sports, local and international happenings into one convenient app. Upon opening this app, I was brought to the Stations page, which allowed me to view popular topics, categories, and view the many different sources that Stitcher has to offer. Inside each of the categories, I could click on even more individual stations. I was impressed that Stitcher offered the ability to share news or other information with family and friends through Twitter, Facebook or e-mail. I could also create my own personalized station by creating Favorites, simply by clicking on the gold star, and Stitcher would notify me of new episodes.
I liked the interface of this app, it was simple and the controls were easy to use. The quality of sound from the Podcasts or news radio was crystal clear and each episode loaded quickly. My favorite feature of this app was the ability to view a variety of stations, from BBC, Reuters, E!, to the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. I was impressed that Stitcher allowed users to create their own radio station based on what they want. In future versions, I hope they add the ability to view videos to add even more variety to the app.
I think this app is great for anyone who wants a comprehensive news source that they can rely on and is tailored to fit their needs. Users will be impressed with the sleek and simple interface as well as the ability to choose from over ten different popular news sources.
