Have you ever wanted to quickly check how fast your internet connection is? Maybe you want to know if the WiFi or 3G connection you’re using can handle some video streaming app that you want to try out. Or possibly you’re just a nerd and always have to know how your home connection compares to everyone else’s. Well whatever your reason, Speedtest.net takes the complications out of performing connectivity tests like this on your iPhone or iPod Touch!
When you open this app, all you have to do to perform a test is press the “Begin Test” button at the top of the screen. Speedtest.net will automatically detect the closest server to your location for the test. If you would like to customize how your test will display, all you have to do is press the “Settings” tab at the bottom of the screen.
The third tab at the bottom of the screen is the “Results” tab. Pressing this button will take you to a page that shows all of your previous test results. This makes it easy to keep track of how a particular connection is performing over time.
The best feature of this program is really that it just works, and it is not overly complicated. If you are looking for an app to test connection speeds, and you just want it to be quick and easy, I would highly recommend Speedtest.net Speed Test!
