Quiz Game Land is an interesting cross between retro-gaming, board games and quiz games. If you think you are a true gamer, test your knowledge, while you experience the retro music and graphics of Quiz Game Land!
When you first open the game there is just one play mode available, “Story Mode.” Starting a game will first take you through the games story, and then you are taken to screen where you can select one of three available maps to begin on.
Once you select your map you then will need to roll the dice and see what square you land on. If you land on one of the green “dice” squares then you get to roll again, but if you land on a space with a number on it, you have to “battle” a “beast” by answering gaming-related trivia questions. You start with six hearts and every time you miss a question you lose one.
Periodically on the maps you will see squares with spades on them where you go play mini games. There are several different mini games where you can earn more hearts or other extra perks that allow you to skip questions, narrow down your options or extend the amount of time you have to answer the question.
At the end of every level is a “Boss” that requires more questions than the other beasts to defeat. You can unlock other game modes by playing story mode such as “Millionaire Mode” where the game takes on a Millionaire-like format where if you miss a question you lose.
I quite enjoyed testing this game. Undergames did an excellent job of offering varying skill levels so that you can play this game and be challenged even if you think you know everything about gaming. At just $1.99, I would definitely recommend you download this game. It has much more replay value than most games I have played in the App Store, and the retro feel makes this game one of the best I have seen.
