There have been a lot of applications that claim to be a free solution for keeping track of your finances. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but a lot of them have also been released by companies that I had never heard of until I saw their app. If you uneasy about using financial software written by a company you are unsure of, then you might want to take a look at Intuit’s latest offering “Quicken Online Mobile”.
The first thing you need to do to use this app is go and sign up for a free account with Quicken. When you open up this app for the first time it will explain the process, and it is both quick and easy. Once you set up your account and add all of your account information from their website, you can then log directly into that account through this app.
One of the nicest features of this app is the ability to remember your password. Now I know what you’re thinking, “What if I lose my phone and somebody else gets access to all my financial information!” The cool thing is that it will remember your password, but you can have it require a pass code instead. This way you don’t have to enter in your alphanumeric password and username every time you log into the app, but it still can’t be accessed by just anyone.
The home screen of Quicken Online Mobile gives you a good overview of your current financial state. It shows you about how much money you have available before you get paid next, and turning your device sideways will show you a graph of how much money you currently have, have had, and will have based on your past financial history.
