REVIEW—”Sweep out minesweeper, MineHunt is ready to explode!”
I never was really good at Minesweeper. I tried and tried, but failed and here it is again. Granted, it’s a lot more visually appealing than the gray screen with blue, red, and green numbers that plastered my old PC. This new and improved Minehunt offer and new and 3-dimensional challenge that makes this age old computer game quite riveting.
Upon launching, you select from three different 3-dimensional shapes: a cube, a pyramid, or a sphere. It really is a new challenge. Once you select your shape, you next have to choose your level of difficulty, easy or medium. With a higher level of difficulty comes more mines, so easy is has fewer mines than medium. With that, comes an obvious increase in the size of cube, pyramid or sphere you’ve selected. Your shape is suspended and you must turn it up down and side-to-side to continue the game. It’s also even more crucial that you understand the mathematics that goes into Minesweeper as the complexity of the shapes make accuracy crucial in deciphering the location of the mines. MineHunt 3D Lite really is a game of mathematics and skills. If you’re into exercising your mind muscle, doing a little math, and occasionally hearing a minor explosion, MineHunt 3-D is right up your alley.
The full version will give you more shape options and more levels of difficulty that flex your brain. If you really want to challenge yourself, upgrade to the full version.
