Star Wars was a movie that inspired generations and still continues to do so. Fans of the movie want to know how it feels to hold a lightsaber and swing it around. Fortunately, there are apps that can turn your phone into a lightsaber, and Lightsaber Unleashed is perhaps the most realistic of them. Using this free app, you will be able to turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into a lightsaber and transform yourself into a Jedi Knight.
With this app you can choose one of the popular Star Wars characters, either Darth Vader, Rahm Kota, Maris Brood, Shaak Ti, but also The Apprentice. In version 2.1 of the app you can also create your own custom character. Creating a custom character allows you to name your character, add a photo – which can be chosen from the image library, and also design the lightsaber and write a biography of the character.
“So, how does the game work?” you may ask. Once you choose a character you can start swinging your device and a range of Lightsaber sounds will start playing which are familiar from the motion picture. Another nice thing is that you can draw and withdraw your Lightsaber, making your experience even more realistic.
This app mostly relies on the sound effects that it produces, and you can’t really do anything more than swing your phone and create a custom character. Then again, for the fans of Star Wars, this app will most likely be a “must-have”. Fortunately, the application is free, and it occupies only 4.6 MB, so even if you’re not a huge fan, you should give it a try. May the Force be with you!

Swing your iPhone to listen to a range of Lightsaber sound effects from your phone's speaker, you can also draw and withdraw your Lightsaber. You can also choose your force unleashed character of choice, as well as playing some dueling music to get you in the mood. Last but not least, you can enter a full screen Lightsaber mode, to enhance your Lightsaber experience.
