REVIEW – “Detailed ‘Xpense’ tracking to control your finances”
If you’re like me , keeping track of your expenses is 
probably not your favorite thing to do. In fact if I told you that there was a way to make it much easier, and at the same time, also shrink it down into a mobile package you would probably be all over that right? Well now you can do exactly that with iXpenseIt by FYI Mobileware.
From the moment that I opened this app it was obvious that this was not going to be your ordinary expenses tracker. Instead, this app is an ideal solution for someone that is looking to track business expenses, detailed home expenses, or a combination of both. 
When you open this app you see the “main” screen, which displays all of the transactions that have been entered for the current day and information on your current budget if you have one set up.
At the bottom of the screen there is a menu that changes based on what area of the app you are in. For example, if you click the “Report” option the menu then changes to have “Summary,” “Bar,” “Pie,” Export,” and “Delete” buttons. From the main screen you have several basic options like
“Monthly” view, “Report” view, add a “New” record, “Search” for a record, or the “Settings” menu.
I have to admit that when I saw this app in an Apple commercial I was skeptical of why Apple would choose an app by a virtually unknown Developer to represent financial apps. What I found is that after playing with this app for just a few minutes it became obvious that this is a very unique app. iXpenseIt manages to be extremely detailed and get into the little things, 
while at the same time maintaining the ease of use that characterizes Apple products.
My experience with this app is that it does require a little more setup. It will probably take you a few minutes to get it set up how you want. However, the benefits of this far outweigh the initial inconvenience. This app offers a wide variety of customizable options that I have seen in very few mobile
applications. What I would say is that if you are looking for something just to track your home finances there may be a few easier options out there, but very few of them are going to go into as much detail or have as many customizable options as this app does.
I could talk about this app for hours, but it comes down to this. If you are looking for something to track your expenses, whether they be household or business, I would highly recommend iXpenseIt because of how complete it is. If you are still skeptical the least you can do is download the free “lite” version and see it for yourself. The “lite” version is fully functional it just limits how many expenses you can add. The best thing is that if you decide to buy the full version, FYI Mobileware has made it easy to transfer over all your information. So what are you waiting for?
