REVIEW – “A pocket sized prayer wheel for the avid Buddhist”
Prayer wheels come in all shapes and sizes, and now you can get one as an application for you iPhone or iPod Touch. Om Development has done a good job of coming up with an app that feels finished, and not one that was just rushed into the app store as a gimmick to make money.
For someone that is Buddhist, it is definitely much easier to carry around just your phone as opposed to having a prayer wheel in your pocket or purse.
When you open the app, you are greeted by the prayer wheel which is beautifully rendered in 3D. Touching the little icon in the bottom right corner will take you to the settings menu. There are four things that you can turn on or off, like sound effects and such.
As I said before, this app could be very useful to anyone that is Buddhist, but even at that, the $1.99 seems a little steep for no more than there is to this application. However, if you have been looking for something like this, the app does what it is designed to do without a hitch!
