Cooking Mama Lite (Free)
REVIEW- “Cook in the Kitchen with Mama and Learn new Recipes!”
Calling all chefs! This game is definitely for you! Cooking Mama Lite is an introduction to the famous Cooking Mama app, which combines fun and cooking into one great app. Upon opening this app, I was immediately impressed with the colorful graphics and fun music. I decided to make Hamburger in Stewed Tomato Sauce with Mama. Keep in mind that the Lite version only has one recipe available for you to cook, so if you like it, go ahead and purchase the full version. Once I decided to make the Hamburger recipe, I was ready to start cooking with Mama! There are 5 different steps in order to complete the recipe, and each step includes instructions from Mama. I liked that each step made the best use out of the iPhone’s capabilities—namely the tilt and touch functions.
To chop the onion, I simply tapped on the screen and the knife did its job. To melt the butter, I pretended like my phone was the pan and shook the phone around to melt the butter evenly. I liked that the 
controls were very hands-on and easy to pick up. The graphics for the app were well designed and I also liked the colorful interface because it was visually pleasing. My favorite feature about this game was the feedback you receive from Mama. If you’re cooking things the right way you will receive a gold medal. I also found that this game was the same high quality game as seen on the Nintendo DS game console, and they definitely did a great job making it compatible with the iPhone. By playing this game, you can definitely pick up a few tips on how to cook and great new recipes to try out, all while having fun. I definitely recommend this app to anyone who wants to see what the internationally renowned cooking game has to offer!
