REVIEW- “Creating your own custom aquarium is easy, but limited”
Colorful Aquarium Lite is great for anyone who wants to have an aquarium, hassle-free, right on their iPhone. The controls are a bit difficult to get a hold of, but there were picture instructions that popped up every so often to guide me. I was very disappointed that there were no fish to add to my aquarium since they are only available with the full, paid version. I think there should be at least a few fish available on the Lite version to entice users to actually want the paid version, especially if the name of the app is Colorful Aquarium! There were some nice aquarium plants that you can add to spruce up the plain tank.
I would have liked more features to make the app more entertaining and worth my while, but it was just a basic aquarium tank with plants. The bubble sounds that occurred every couple seconds were a nice touch to make the aquarium seem more realistic. I would have liked more music to make the app even more relaxing. I think this app is a great, hassle-free stress reliever since its been proven that watching aquariums can help lower stress.
The graphics for this app were nice and the interface as a whole was well designed and put together. I think this app would be a great screensaver or background since it’s nice to look at and listen to. Basically, the app does exactly what it says it does—provide a colorful aquarium that requires no care. Users should consider the full version if they want to place fish in their tank, as well as have access to better plants and other props. This is a great app for anyone who needs to chill out for a bit and enjoy the scenery—this app has great graphics and nice sounds to make it seem more realistic.
