If you’re looking for a far more entertaining way to share the images on your iTouch or iPhone with family and friends, then Animoto Videos might be the app that you’re looking for.
In a few quick steps, your graduation ceremony, family vacations, or party can be transformed into a musical slideshow. When Animoto Videos launches, it’s best to create your Animoto account. This account does two major things: 1) It allows you to upload your videos for friends and family to view and 2) It grants you the ability to make full-length videos. Without an established account and registered email address you will only be able to create and upload 30-second videos. Once that’s established, you’re ready to create!
It’s easy really. Select a series of photos from your existing albums and arrange them in the order you would like them to appear. Then you’re ready to add music. There a variety of genres to choose from, from Classical to Gospel, to Pop and Featured Artists, you’re sure to find something you like. However, it’s not possible to use the music in your existing iTunes library, which is a bit frustrating.
Once you’ve selected your music, you are ready to render your video, which will compress the photos and music together. It takes awhile as you are not working on a highly powered computer system, but the finished project is nice. You don’t get to select your own transitions from picture to picture, all of that is done automatically. However, if you don’t like what Animoto Videos has done for you, you are free to remix and see what it comes up with next. Satisfied? Download the video to your iTouch or iPhone to play and share with family and friends later.
