REVIEW – “Big Oven Allows You to Look the Chef No Matter the Reality”
It’s happened to all of us. You’re in the store shopping for groceries and you realize you wanted to make a yummy dessert tonight, but you forgot to find a recipe. Now, you are stuck with the option of a cake mix or nothing.
But not if you have 160,000 Recipes – Big Oven on your iPhone. Simply fire it up and tap your way to a delicious dessert.
Big Oven on the iPhone operates much like BigOven.com in that you see a picture of each recipe and you can choose the recipe that looks good based not just on the picture but the name of the recipe. You will also see the recipe’s star rating (as rated by site users who have made the recipe).
In our dessert scenario, say you are interested in making chocolate cake for dessert. Simply put “chocolate cake” into the search bar and wait for the results. You might choose the “perfectly chocolate” chocolate cake recipe, or the perfect chocolate cake with perfect chocolate frosting. The German chocolate bundt cake might light your fire.
Once you find a recipe that looks interesting, you can click on it to see the recipe, the picture, and read reviews. You can even email the recipe to yourself or to someone else if you want to give them a nudge.
If you are a user of BigOven.com, you can tap into your online account to see your favorite recipes, and add one of the iPhone finds to your account. If you often cook from recipes and do your grocery shopping based on the recipes you are cooking, you might find this feature particularly useful, because you can add all your favorites to your BigOven account and simply access them from wherever you are to help you build a shopping list.
For the home cook, the special occasion cook, or anyone who has need at some point for a good recipe, the BigOven iPhone app is a big help.
