REVIEW – “Talk about endless puzzle fun!”
When you first see Huebris, you are very tempted to ignore it, thinking it’s just another puzzle like too many games in the AppStore today. But when you start playing it, well, there’s a great chance it becomes your favourite.
The rules are very simple, yet they bring novel concepts in the puzzle gaming area. The goal is to match colored tiles with their corresponding background, taking into account that every color moves in its own fashion. Sounds easy, although you’ll convince yourself real soon that’s just a deceptive impression.
The game contains 3 modes: puzzle, generator and top. The puzzle mode has 45 levels with with increasing grades of difficulty from 3 colors to 6 colors and while the first levels accustom you with the rules, by the end of the game you will have used all your brainpower to get the job done. Best part is the level select which allows you to choose the level you like , without being forced to complete the previous ones. Also, due to the randomly arranged tiles at the beginning of a level, you can play the same level again and again and always seeming to be different.
The puzzle generator creates various puzzles aside the 45 levels and you have the possibility to select from 3 color puzzles, 5 color puzzles and 5 color puzzles. Talk about endless puzzle fun!
Well, the mode who deserves special attention is Huebris TOP. Due to its unique mechanics, you can truly say that no game compares to this one. Indeed, it needs a bit of Huebris Puzzle practice before starting to play, but once you’ll have the color moves figured out, you will definitely discover the greatness behind the TOP mode. A simple description of the gameplay would be that you have to match tiles with the same colored backdrops that fall from the top, thus clearing lines for points. However, it’s better you play it for yourself.
World and Local Leaderboards is another great feature Huebris offers. It gives you the possibility to compete with players around the world and also with friends and family who use the same device as you do.
And last but not least, Huebris Lite is available for you to try and discover the innovative and addictive puzzle game you will certainly love!

The object of the game is to match the blocks with the same color background. There are six different colors, each color with specific valid moves. When pressing a certain block, the valid positions will glow to show where you can make your move.
Might sound easy, but once you take some time on it, you’ll discover a very challenging game, with strategies to build and tricky puzzles to solve.

Puzzle

You have 2 puzzle modes: Huebris Puzzle and Puzzle Generator.
Huebris Puzzle has 45 levels and you have the possibility to either play continuously from one level to the next or to select the level you like (and start from there or choose another level if you want).
Levels have different grades of difficulty, starting with 3 colors, then progressively reaching 6 colors with the last levels.
Puzzle Generator can generate 3 color puzzles, 5 color puzzles and 6 color puzzles. You can make the selection from the Options Menu, where you are able to choose from the six colors of the game, depending on the number of colors you have selected.
Unlike Huebris Puzzle, with Puzzle Generator you can keep points score, besides the timed score you have known by now. Also, if you are not satisfied with your score when finishing one board, you can always play another one (or more) and your scores will be totaled. Then, if you’re pleased with the score you have achieved, you can Submit Score.
Available for both Puzzle mode and Top mode, a very helpful tip is to always consider the other colors when moving another one. Although you think you have no solution for a certain color, that solution is almost every time provided by one or two other colors.

Huebris Top

Huebris Top is somehow a blend between Tetris and match-3 games, only instead of completing lines at the bottom of the board and matching blocks of same type, you have to match blocks with same color background of a certain line to make the latter disappear.
The rules for the colors remain the same as for the puzzle mode.
There are three levels of difficulty and for each level, lines pop up at a fixed period of time. Game ends when lines reach bottom.
Each color has a number of points assigned and score will update whenever a line is complete, by summing up the points on the respective line. If you complete 2 lines simultaneously, your score for the second line will double, if 3 lines concurrently completed, the score for the third will triple and so on.
