En Route HQ give the GPS navigation on the iphone to an entirely new use, keeping track of those you love. This app lets you see where all of your friends and family are at the touch of a button. You can also alert them to where you are so they can know if you are running late or on time.
This app is great and I can imagine how it could be really useful for friends and family. I remember as a child taking two or three day road trips to see family up north. Now instead of having to call and let them know where we are, they can simply load up this app and know right away how far along we are on our journey.
You can even mark how you are traveling and if you are stuck in a traffic jam or just stopping for lunch. This is great just in case someone is tracking you and they realize you haven’t moved in awhile. 
But beyond that it is a great way to keep track of coworkers to know if they are heading to the meeting or to let them know that you are on your way as well. I’m not sure many people will use this in that setting but I think it would be good for someone like my father who is constantly traveling all over the country and the world for work, people could know if he was in flight or driving to his destination.
It is also a great way to race friends if all of you are heading to the same destination. For the holidays if everyone is going home for the holidays you can track where all your family is so you will be ready to welcome them.
I love this app because it is so simple to use. Just click start route and you are on your way, there are a few simple buttons that you can press to let everyone know that you are stuck or just taking a break and you can leave notes for the people who are following your trip. You can easily email people your trip pin so that they know just how to track your journey.
What I really love is that you don’t even need your family members to have an iphone to track your journey, they can simply got to www.enroutehq.com and key in your pin and track your journey right on their home computer. This is definitely something I will use next time I drive up north for the holidays.
If you have trips that you take often you can simply load them on the website and have them ready for you tap on your iphone to easily alert everyone to where you are going.
The combination of online and offline is the strongest feature of this app because the family and friends that I am usually traveling long distances too do not have an iphone so it is nice to know that they can keep up with my progress as well.
This is also great for vacations so that everyone can keep track of all the exciting places that you are visiting!

It shows, the people who need to know about your journey, where you are and when you will arrive safely. En Route HQ is your Online Trip Computer for all the journeys you make. There are many ways that you will find En Route HQ useful – why not let us know how by writing a review – but here are a few ways we like:
- Visiting your parents or family? If your parents or family live far away, chances are you
drive there for visits. Load up En Route and they can track your trip via the En Route HQ
website.
- Going to a meeting? Load up En Route and email your Trip PIN to the meeting contact. They can now see if you are on time or if you are running late.
- Coming home from the meeting? Your family can track you to see when you will be home.
Of course these are all fun and useful ways to enjoy En Route HQ as a single user, but when you add lots of friends, who are also using En Route, you can track each one of them on the same map. So…
