REVIEW – “No more colon space half parenthesis for us…“

Some apps do things: track you calories, give you movie times, tell you the weather; other apps entertain you with games, puzzles or jokes; this app doesn’t really do any of those things. Emoji is an app that is there purely for the joy of emoticons. I discovered this app after a recommendation from a friend and although I really enjoyed her text with the all of the holiday icons and cutesy pictures, I didn’t really think that it would be something for me. Because it was free, I decided to download it anyway and I was pleasantly surprised with what I got. I spent half an hour sending texts with all of the cutesy icons that it had and immediately updated my facebook status with one of the many emoticons that had been unlocked on my phone.

The one bad thing about this app is that it only works for people with an iPhone or iTouch, but let’s be honest, I am sure there are those of you out there that have lost a friend or two over an iPhone debate Just kidding. But seriously, for any iPhone users, this app can send and receive texts using the Emoji icons and I believe that it is only a matter of time before the recipient decides it is something that they too, need to download. But in addition to text messages, you can use the emoticons in emails, note and to update any status on your iPhone: Facebook, MySpace, Glue, etc. It’s great, it’s fun and it’s easy.

Like the Emoji app says in it’s Application Description on iTunes, there is no difference in the free version or the full version, so pay if you want or try it for free, either way, I think it is something that you would use and enjoy. Sometimes words just can’t describe what you want to see, luckily Emoji can. Download this app now to see what I am talking about and then tell (or show) others what I’m talking about. No more colon space half parenthesis for us- we’ve moved on up to the emoticons.
