Can You Find It? ($0.99)

Version – 1.0

Review - ”A Fun Seek and Find Game that you can play whether you have 2 minutes or 40″

If you’re ever looking for a good game to play when you have a few extra minutes during the day, this game may be for you. You can pick it up and play it for 30 minutes at home or when you are sitting in the doctor’s office waiting room for five minutes. Written by ConsumerSoft, Can You Find It? is a simple enough game in concept that it will be entertaining for both adults and younger children.

The game starts off at the Main Menu Screen. From here you can go into the Settings where you can tweak the difficulty of the game, sound effects, or start a new game from scratch.

From the start of the game you’re shown an image and below that image you’re given a hint. Based on the hint you have to find what they’re referring to, and you only get so many guesses, depending on whether you’re playing in Easy, Medium, or Hard. There’s a timer running, but it’s not for a time limit and instead for keeping track of how long it takes for you to complete each stage. As you solve the clue, you’ll double click what they’re looking for and will proceed on to the next image and hint. As of Version 1.0 the game notes having 50 levels.

While the first few rounds seem relatively simple, once you get further along the clues become more difficult to decipher, in addition to the images becoming more complex. The advantage of this game is that you can play it when you have time, then come back later when you have a few more minutes at your disposal.

In future updates, I’d like to see an option added, during game play, to take you back to the Main Menu. When I came back to the game later in the day I had forgotten you needed to double-click your guess, and so I was starting the think it was a game flaw. Instead I had to close the program down and then reopen it to find out what I was doing wrong.

I’d also like to see the photos shuffle a bit when you start a new game. Right now the photos are in order, and maintain that order every time you start a new game. Maybe, in an effort to maintain levels of difficulty, the photos should rotate in mini batches .. i.e. photos 1 – 10 can rotate at random, 11-20, and so on.

Overall this game is great to open when you have time to play, but you’re not sure how much you can get into a game. I hope they expand the photo puzzles in the future and continue to offer challenges to their customers! This game is currently offered, through iTunes, for the bargain price of $0.99 :)
