REVIEW – “Carry the Bible with you offline for free!”
There have been a lot of Bible apps, both free and paid. Unfortunately, because of the nature of copyrights very few of the paid apps work well without a solid connection to the internet. If you have been scouring iTunes looking for an iPhone app that is both free and works offline, then you should definitely check 
out Bible by LifeChurch.tv!
The app itself loads very quickly. When you open up “Bible” by LifeChurch you start out on the “Read” screen. You’ll see your current scripture with a version select bar towards the top of the screen, right beneath the “next” and “prev” buttons help you navigate on chapter at a time! Selecting a new version is just two simple clicks. All you have to do is touch the current versions name on the “Read” screen, and then select the version that you would like to switch to.
At the bottom of the screen there is a menu with several different options. The search 
feature, while it is not quite as powerful as some of the more well known Bible apps is a welcome addition to any free app! The only real problem that I had with it is that it doesn’t seem to place the results in any particular order.
My favorite feature of this app is the “Reading Plans” feature. Here you will find all different kinds of reading plans. Once you select a plan it will not only be brought up to you so you can read it, but it will keep track of your progress as you read through that particular plan as well! This is great for those disorganized people that want to get into a regular Bible reading routine!
Bible also offers a “Live” feature for anyone that is attending 
a Lifechurch.tv event. This will bring up scriptures and sermon points, as well as allow for interaction from the use as well! This interface is very slick and it really can add a lot to your experience if you are already a regular attender of Lifechurch!
While all of these features are awesome the best feature of this app, especially for iPod Touch users, is definitely the offline Bible versions that are free! That’s right, all you have to do is touch the “More” tab, go to Settings/Offline Translations and you will be given a list of Bible versions that can download to your device for offline use later!
While this app may not combine all of the greatest features of other Bible apps, it is definitely the best free Bible app that I have used on this platform! If you’ve been searching, but just haven’t found a good free app for reading the Bible don’t waste another moment! Why you may ask?
