REVIEW – “You’ve never played volleyball quite like this!”
I’ve played a lot of different types of games, but Belly Bums has to be one of the most unique ones that I’ve played. The idea of Belly Bums is that you actually play volleyball by bouncing the ball with your characters huge gut! The games are all single player and your player moves automatically toward the balls next location.
When you open this app up for the first time you’ll be prompted to sign in to your OpenFeint account if you already have one. This 
interface provides an easy way to communicate with your friends, as well as track your “achievements” and progress! All of your OpenFeint information can then be accessed 
anytime via the “OpenFeint” button in the menu on the right side of the mail menu!
There is a brief “Help” screen that you can access by pushing the button in the lower right corner of the screen. While I kind of wish that this screen went into a little more detail, the controls are fairly easy to figure out. The only problem I seem to have had is that sometimes it seems like it’s impossible to get to the ball. Because you don’t actually control the movement of your player it is way too easy to have the ball fly over your head!
Once you think you’ve got it figured out there are two different modes of play. “Quick Play” Which 
allows you to set a few basic settings and get started; and “Tournament” which will allow you to travel from place to place competing in the tournament of a lifetime! There are a variety of characters to choose from as well. At first you only have one available, but as you get further into the game more are unlocked!
Gameplay itself is extremely simple. The basic idea is that you touch the screen when you want your guy to “bounce” the ball back in the other direction! You can also aim the direction in which you will hit the ball by touching the screen and “swiping” in that direction! Once you actually get started playing the pace of the game is very fast. The pauses between levels are very fast and will catch you off guard if you’re not carefull!
The graphics and sound in this game are both top notch, and they manage to pull off the “cartoony” look quite nicely! My only major complaint is that even the “easy” level kindof difficult. I had to play multiple games to beat the computer once! With that said, once you start getting used to everything it will become second nature!
With all of the Apps in the App Store, sometimes you need one that will just brighten your day, and that is exactly the kind of app that this is! It offers literally hours for fun for all ages!
