hoto manipulation apps for the iPhone are always iffy because there is no way for every picture to turn out perfect. BeFunky FX may not be perfect but it offers plenty of options to turn your pictures into something completely unique and fun. 
Personally I love these apps because they are just fun to play around with and while they may not have a lot of customization it is definitely easier than doing the same effects with photo editing software on the computer.
When you open BeFunky FX it gives you two options which are the obvious choices between grabbing a photo from your photo album and taking one with your camera. The clearer and sharper the image the better for most of the effects but the best option is always to play around and see what suits you best.
What impressed me about this app is that there are 11 different effects and then multiple color and style choices for each effect, giving you dozens of ways to transform your pictures. Some of my favorites are the grunge effect, the motion blur and oil painting but each effect has different benefits for different types of pictures.
Now it does not always come out perfect and sometimes it might change the focus of the picture or blur everything together if the lines in the picture are not sharp enough, but that should not deter you from having fun with this app. Even when the pictures did not turn out perfect they still had a very unique quality to them, and most of the time I was very impressed with the end result. 
I loved the different color and style options for each effect because it allowed me to pick the one that would best suit the type of picture I was working with.
This is possibly the most versatile photo manipulation app that I have seen for the iPhone and it combines many of the effects that single effect photo apps use. So I highly recommend giving it a try.
