REVIEW – “Keep track of your pregnancy, contractions, kicks and so much more!”
Since discovering that my husband and I are pregnant I have been searching for just about any and all resources that can help make the process easier. BabyBump is a great app that can help you through any stage of the pregnancy even up to the birth itself.
When you open the app you are asked for basic information such as your name and your due date or last menstrual period. I thought it was a little strange that it asked for my name, as if I would forget but I guess it someone wanted to keep track of a friend’s pregnancy.
From there you get a countdown of how far along you are and a timeline of how long until your due date. If you got to weekly info you are given tons of great information and pictures. You will get a picture of what is going on inside your body as well as what your baby looks like. It will also give you an idea of just how big your baby is.
It even gives you the option to add your own picture so that you can keep track of the inside and the outside throughout your pregnancy.
You can then go to journal and keep track of all those important moments of your pregnancy. For those who are particularly brave you can keep track of your growing measurements and your thoughts. You can even put in when you have a doctor’s appointment and ask the app to remind you whenever you sign in so that you don’t forget.
Other great features are kick counters and contraction counters to an entire section on birth. You can watch a video of what your baby has to go through when it starts to make its way out and just what is happening every time you feel one of those painful contractions.
The amount of information that this app offers is amazing and that fact that you can customize the look based on the sex of the baby or the season that it is due, is a fun little feature.
Normally I would say that $4.99 is pricey for an app but the amount of features and information that this app offers is truly worth the price. Having all that info and picture with me is great, because one thing that always comes when people find out that you are pregnant, are tons of questions. Keeping track also helps create great memories that you will treasure once the pregnancy has come and gone.
