Asphalt 5 is a great racing game for the iPhone, it is completely responsive and the graphics are great. Now the only problem is that the free version is bound to get you hooked enough to buy the full version.
When you start the game you are given an intro video like most video games but after that you are ready to race. With the free version you only get a choice of two cars but if you decide to upgrade to the full version you will have your pick of 50 different cars.
Once you are ready it is time to race. Now you have a few options on how you want to play this game, my favorite is accelerometer auto. What that means is that I use the iPhone’s accelerometer to turn the car left and right but the game controls my acceleration. I still however have control of the brake and the nitro by tapping on the screen. 
If you do not want the game to control your acceleration then you simply choose accelerometer in the options. If you don’t want to use the accelerometer at all then you can go into tap mode.
Now the free version only comes with one track, but what a track it is. You get to race by snow covered mountains and through a city and there are even short cuts to discover that will get you driving on top of buildings and leaping down to the track. The graphics are great and remind me of when Playstation 2 first came out with its high powered graphics of the time. You may even encounter a snowfall while racing which looks great on the screen.
Now as far as the race goes there are plenty of powerups on the track for you to grab and they will give you more nitro or fix your car if you’ve had a few too many collisions.
I was amazed at how quickly I got the hang of the game and the accelerometer controls seemed just right to make sure that I had control that wasn’t too sensitive or too hard. It’s rare for me to get the hang of a racing game as that has always been my brother’s forte but it was not long before I was leading the pack with this one.
If you love racing games this is one app that needs to be on your iphone and if you want the full version I can tell you that it is definitely worth the $6.99 purchase price, because you get tons of tracks and locations that are sure to impress anyone.

Looks nice probably gonna download this. I bet this version is even better than the previous one which was also amazing. Too bad I get bored of the games so fast.
