Using it for recording I never thought of that, I've always played through a POD (line 6)... I thought this app looked good for practicing and jamming. Is it as good as stand-alone pedals? That's a tough call, but I would definitely use it for my own recording purposes. I do reference the sound quality in the video demonstration if you'd like to know more about that. I also play both an acoustic and electric guitar using various effects.
