Now most of us have asked the question when will we use math in real life. Now this game involves the basic math of addition which most of us do use everyday but we may not be as fast as we would like to. Addicus is a game that makes you doubt your math skills and wonder why did not pay more attention when they were teaching addition tricks in the first grade.
Addicus a great game for both kids and adults. The point of the game is to tap mushrooms so that they add up to number shown on the screen. This seems easy enough but the brightly colored mushrooms are not only for show, they have a purpose. Some numbers will be a in a specific color and when they are, you can only use mushrooms of the same color to create that number. White numbers are free game and you can use whatever color mushrooms you like and you can mix and match.
Now that is basically all there is to the game play and first off that might sound really easy and maybe even a little boring but it really isn’t. The reason is that once the numbers start to go above 30 and you are running low on time it might be hard to quickly figure out what numbers will add to the exact number shown. 
There are also bonuses if you match colors a certain way or are really fast with your addition. But this game is really more addicting than one might think and it will really sharpen your addition skills before you know it.
The graphics are great and very cartoonish. They remind me a bit of Mario Bros which is never really a bad thing. The sound is great as well because it has a techno soundtrack that really gets your blood pumping and your nerves on edge. This really helps with the pressure but I’ve found that my score tends to be better with the sound than off.
I love games that help you learn without it feeling like work and my math skills can always use some work. This is perfect for kids as well as it may just have them interested in math if they play it long enough.
There is a lite version of this game that you can try out for free, but be careful because it is very addicting and you might be buying the full version before you know it.
